What is the resolution?
- It measures the ability of a camera to reproduce details of the scene. It is defined like the number of the points (or lines) discernible on the horizontal plane. It is normally measured like television lines (TVL).

- From an object at infinity distance rays of light are focused in a common point of the optical axis. This point is called focal point. Lens has two main points: 1st and 2nd point. The distance between the 2nd main points to the focal point on the optical axis is the focal length. With short focal length there are wide angle of vision, while with long focal length there are limited angle of vision.

What is an auto iris lens?
- The iris is regulated automatically, with the purpose to maintain the same level of brightness on the device. This type of lens is constituted by an apparatus, able to measure the illumination, and by an “amplifier”, able to change the opening of diaphragm. They are adapted to display with a strong and variable level of illumination.

What a meaning “CCD format” terminology?
- The format is related to the dimension of the CCD portion, measured in diagonal line and in inches. Now the format in use is 1/3”, but it is possible that in the next future, will have more CCD with 1/4”. The CCD (Charge Coupled Device) is the optical sensor of the camera, which is the component who transforms the picture coming from the lens in an electrical video signal.

What is the indication in inches on the monitor?
- Monitors are different for the dimension of the screen that is measured in inches and it is the diagonal length of kinescope (1 inch = 2,54 mm).
